07/21/2017 - SOLID FILM LUBRICANT COATINGS

MBI Coatings is proud to announce the expansion of our coating capabilities by upgrading our application methods of Solid Film Lubricant Coatings (SFLC). Aka THINLON group of coatings.

MBI’s Solid Film Lubricant Coatings are advanced polymeric thin film type coatings.  They have a very fine consistency with a Nano structure.  They are considered impregnation type coatings and will not alter parts dimensions.  Such Thin Films are not separable from the surfaces due to their advanced chemical bond.  They adhere onto part's critical working surfaces to improve the part’s function.

MBI’s Solid Film Lubricant Coatings are used on industrial machinery and equipment parts in wide range of applications including but not limited to parts for construction, mining, oil & gas, pulp & paper, automotive, textile and many other industries.  Our coatings improve performance properties such as lubricity or liquid repelling, wear life, thermal shield or shedding, conductivity, corrosion and chemical resistance.  Many of these demanding applications require protection under a range of loads.  Our coatings help improve service life, productivity and reliability of the product while reducing failure.

Types of SFLC

  • ·       Molybdenum Disulfide
  • ·      Graphite
  • ·      PTFE (Teflon®)
  • ·      Ceramic
  • ·      Combination of the above
