CHROME REPLACEMENT
We offer various coatings to replace chrome plating. Such coatings are not considered a compromise;, instaed, they are considerd superior to it. HVOF, Plasma, Arc and advanced thermal sprayed coatings offer a wide range of coatings to replace chrome such as tungsten carbide, chrome carbide, chrome oxide, super alloys, and hundreds of other alloys that accel certain desired properties.
This photo shows how dense and porous free an HVOF coating can be applied.

Especially HVOF coatings that utilize supersonic metal-spray stream to deposit coatings un-like chrome plating taht are stress-free, crack-free and without embrittlement. Our HVOF and high velocity arc spray processes don not rely on chemicals or excessive heat (like cladding, welding & brazing) to bond the coating to the base metal; therefore, the parts we coat remain free of distortion and stresses.
